At present, there are many devices and brands launched in the global market for monitoring the insulation resistance of IT systems to ground. However, there are few that have done a good job in insulation monitoring and insulation fault location. 1. The product size design must be compact and easy to install
The insulation monitoring device, fault location device, and supporting transformer are installed in the distribution room of the customer's company. Due to the requirements of the main function, the space in the distribution room is often limited, and various functional instruments need to occupy positions in the distribution room or distribution cabinet. If the designed insulation monitoring device and fault location device have a large volume, when it involves multi branch power grid monitoring, the instrument size is unreasonable and will occupy a lot of space, which is not suitable for the customer's flexible networking needs.
Compared with other brands of insulation monitors on the market, IFLS-600 components, such as SKIM600FL insulation monitor and SKIF12 fault locator, adopt a unified module design, with a size of only 100x72x66mm, while other brands have a size of 108x93x110mm.


2. Product design must consider the customer's on-site working conditions
The insulation monitoring and fault location system is mainly used in industries with complex working conditions, long power grid lines, and large distributed capacitance such as steel, port ships, mines, and chemical plants. In practical applications, many brands of products cannot quickly and accurately measure and locate faults in branches with large distributed capacitance. In recent years, at the request of customers, IFLS-600 has performed well through on-site comparative testing at multiple customer sites in the steel, chemical, and shipbuilding industries.

3. Insulation monitoring and fault location in the power grid of frequency converters
The insulation monitoring and fault location system is a field that combines electrical and signal aspects from a technical perspective. In a power grid with a frequency converter, the frequency converter itself generates an uncertain signal source. When the insulation monitoring instrument is connected to the end of the frequency converter for operation, the signal generated by the frequency converter will interfere with the signal output and input work of the insulation monitoring instrument, fault location instrument, and transformer. This can result in data confusion or even cause the instrument control system to malfunction. Therefore, in product design, there are high requirements for software engineers. In the IFLS-600 system design, we simulated the most complex frequency converter working conditions, and our products still performed excellent anti-interference performance to ensure normal operation. In several testing sites, many brands have experienced downtime, making the IFLS-600 even more outstanding in performance.

4. Support insulation fault location under multi grid coupling state(Busbar coupling)

The working principle of the insulation monitoring and fault location system in multiple power grids and branches: One insulation monitoring device works together with multiple fault locators and current transformers to complete insulation monitoring and fault location in multiple power grids. However, if there are two or more insulation monitoring devices in the power grid at the same time, when one of the insulation monitoring devices stops working, the fault location and transformer connected to the stopped insulation monitoring device will fail. The IFLS-600 system supports multiple power grid states, and the fault locators and current transformers connected to the stopped insulation monitoring device will be incorporated into the working insulation monitoring device power grid to form a new insulation monitoring system.
